A Letter from Sam & Saly
Hello from Texas! ¡Hola!
We are honored that you are considering us as you think about adoption for your child. Every day, we pray for the very best for you and your baby. We have so much love to provide a child and are so excited to speak with you! We would love to keep an open adoption with you and can stay in contact through letters, photos, and visits if you would be comfortable.
When we were introduced by friends in China during the 2008 Olympics, we instantly had a connection. Four months later, we were married and have almost been married for 10 years! We always knew adoption would always be a part of our family plan.
We enjoy spending time together as a family, traveling internationally (our sons have been to 11 countries!), visiting the beach close by, relaxing on our deck, and hosting our friends and family for delicious meals. We love to reflect on how far God has brought us and are excited to see what He has in store for our family.
Sam is a family man who works hard to provide a beautiful life for us. He makes us laugh, brings a positive energy into our home, and loves to take us on new weekend adventures.
He enjoys brewing his coffee in the morning, reading the Bible, going on runs, catching up on the latest economics and politics, playing with our boys, and taking me out on a date nights! He is the most loving father to our boys and he will be the most loving father to your child as well.
Saly is a loving, caring, and devoted mother and wife. More than anything, she enjoys pouring truth and grace into our children’s lives. She’s a stay-at-home mom and is proud to homeschool our boys.
Saly’s very involved in our church, a neighborhood Bible study, and loves sharing her faith. On a daily basis, you can find her making a cup of coffee in the morning, walking in the park as a family, finding funny videos to have a good laugh, and helping friends and neighbors whenever they need. She is such a wonderful mother to our children and I am so excited to raise a daughter with her.
Sam is one of 8 children, and his parents have a total of 13 grandchildren. We love renting out a home in the summer to bike, swim, and spend time as a family with them. Saly has one sibling and most of her family lives in Mexico. We visit them often and love having our children immersed in the Spanish speaking country, and they come to visit us 2-3 times a year.
We’re so excited to share our fun family traditions of celebrating birthdays, having Easter with our “Easter Tree” to remember Jesus’ death, putting out the “Tree for Thankfulness” for Thanksgiving, and hosting a Christmas dinner with a gift exchange.
Our boys are so excited to become big brothers! They love learning new things. They are fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, and Spanish and are learning about computer coding. Wesley is determined, tender, and smart. He’s a great leader and has a protective spirit, so much so that whenever we pray for a little sister he tells us how he will protect her because that is his job as an older brother.
Peter loves reading books and his Bible. He has a lighthearted, fun, and spirited manner and will do anything to make people laugh and have fun! He prays for his sister often and tells us how he will teach her about Jesus.
Our Texas home has 5 bedrooms and a great pool that we all love to use. The neighborhood is very walkable and one of the safest in the country. We love creating a welcoming home, comfortable for having visitors and get-togethers with loved ones.
We love living within walking distance of the library, a great park with tennis courts, several stores, our church, and more. We live near top-rated schools, making the community very family-friendly, with lots of children to play with.
We promise to love your child unconditionally and will teach her how to be affectionate, kind, and caring to those around her. We will raise your daughter in a faith-based household where she will be encouraged every day to become the person she is meant to be! Education is very important to us and your child will be supported by furthering her education after high school. We’d love to have an open adoption with you and to hear your hopes for your daughter!
