A Letter from Jonathan & Allison
Hello! We are a loving, family-oriented, financially stable couple from Tennessee. We’re a classic case of “opposites attract”… Jonathan is fun and LOUD, Allison is sweet and steady. Our differences make us a strong team, our favorite motto is “Teamwork makes the dream work”. We’ve built a strong foundation in our relationship and are eager to take on the challenge of parenting.
We met in 2011 and have been married for 6.5 years. As cliche as it sounds, we’re each other’s best friend and love doing things together, whether it’s a movie night at home, going for a hike at our favorite lake, enjoying some live music, or traveling several times a year.
We talked about our hearts for adoption before we were married and hoped it would be part of our story. After experiencing years of infertility we’re feeling hopeful as we set out on the adoption journey.
We love spending time together cooking, exploring our hometown, hearing live music, taking road trips and getting outside with our dog or to ride bikes. We’re excited to share these activities and many more with a child.
Allison is kind-hearted, patient, smart and genuine. I was blessed to marry my best friend and we balance each other well. Her laid back and soft-spoken nature makes you feel relaxed and comfortable around her and she’s a great listener. She’s always caring for those around her and I can’t wait to see her maternal instincts in action.
She loves expressing her creativity, especially in cooking, knitting, quilting, and practicing her green thumb. She’s a great cook and will enjoy sharing this hobby with a child. She’s a natural teacher and will find a lot of joy in supporting your child’s creativity and education.
Jonathan is a natural born leader, he’s loving and supportive and will be such a fun dad. He’s the most supportive person I know and is quick to offer encouragement and a big bear hug. He has a fun boisterous laugh and can strike up conversation with anyone he meets.
He enjoys photography, technology, playing games with friends, and cheering on his favorite sports teams (Go Saints!). He is a big sports fan and has cherished memories of time spent with his dad and brother watching and playing sports. I know he’s excited to share his passions with your child someday, and will support them in their interests too.
Our extended families are very close-knit. Jonathan’s parents and brother live in Arkansas, Allison’s parents and sister live in Virginia, and her brother lives in California. We love to visit often! We recently took both families on a big shared vacation, everyone stayed in the same rental and it was so much fun! We hope and plan to make this a family tradition.
Some other family traditions include: Breakfast Taco Saturdays, going for walks together on the weekends, taking the day off work on each other’s birthdays to celebrate, and seeing a Christmas concert every year.
We’ve owned our home for three years and enjoy making it a warm, welcoming space. The layout is open and has lots of space for running around and playing games! It has three bedrooms including a nursery that is ready for a girl or boy. We look forward to traditions of family dinners, baking and cooking together, evening walks and bedtime stories. Our neighborhood is friendly and diverse, with lots of young children to play with and is walking distance to our local elementary school.
We share our home with our calico cat, Shrimp, and American Foxhound mix, Brody. They are both great with kids, Shrimp loves people and Brody is a “baby magnet” whenever we take him out to a fair or farmers market.
We promise your child will have a lifetime of love, care, stability and support.
We promise to raise your child in a home full of fun and laughter.
We promise to prioritize our open adoption relationship and honor your role in your child’s life.
We are humbled by the responsibility and privilege of adoption and promise never to lose sight of that.

More About Our Family
What Adoption Means to Us
We've always known adoption would be part of our story in one way or another. We believe a relationship with you and your child is one of the greatest gifts God could ever bless us with. We plan on being very open with your child about how they came to be a part of our loving family, and how much their birth family loves them too.
Our Values & Interests
We value quality time and make it a point to be home for dinner each night to focus on our family. Our favorite things to do on a slow weekend at home are riding our bikes, cooking healthy meals, walking the neighborhood with our dog, and cozying up for a movie or TV show. We love exploring new cities, visiting friends and family around the country, and hearing live music. We look forward to sharing our values of faith, family, and friendship with your child.
Our Extended Families
We have a close-knit extended family. Each of our families are very supportive of our plans to adopt and are excited to welcome the first grandchild to the family!
Our Faith & Church
Our faith is a big part of our lives and we look forward to raising your child to know God’s love for them. We’re active members of a diverse, non-denominational church where we attend Sunday services regularly and participate in an active small group of other young families.
